<p>Jeff Lipsky, the filmmaker and veteran distributor, will be releasing Scott D. Rosenbaums The Perfect Age of Rock n Roll this summer in the U.S. The Rock n Roll release comes at a time when Lipsky is especially busy, distributing the restored doc Nuremberg, the fashion doc Dressed, and his own Twelve Thirty.</p>
<p>Veteran distribution executive Jeff Lipsky, co-founder of October Films and Lot 47 Films, will be spearheading the summer 2011 theatrical release of Scott D. Rosenbaums The Perfect Age of Rock n Roll. Perfect Ages dazzling cast, a mlange of young stars and veteran indy actors alike, includes Jason Ritter, Peter Fonda, Taryn Manning, Kevin Zegers , Kelly Lynch, Academy Award nominee and Screen Actors Guild award winner Ruby Dee, Lukas Haas, Lauren Holly, Billy Dee Williams, and 2011 Grammy Award winners Willie Big Eyes Smith and Pinetop Perkins.</p>
<p>Part love story, part family drama and all rock n roll, The Perfect Age of Rock n Roll, chronicles the turbulent reunion of two musicians after seven years apart, brought together again by the urgent need to record another perfect album. The screenplay was written by Rosenbaum and Jasin Cadic and the film was produced by Joseph White, Mike Ellis and Rosenbaum. Tom Richmond was the films cinematographer and Madeleine Gavin was the film editor. </p>
<p>Jeff Lipsky is also distributing Sandra Schulbergs restoration of her father Stuarts 1948 documentary Nuremberg, the documentary about young fashion designer Nary Manivong Dressed, and his own film Twelve Thirty, co-starring Jonathan Groff, Mamie Gummer, Reed Birney, Karen Young, and Portia Reiners. Other films Lipsky has recently released include the documentaries The War Tapes and The Bridge, and dramatic features Sweet Land, Bonneville, and the 2006 Sundance Film Festival Dramatic Competition selection Flannel Pajamas, which he wrote and directed. </p>
<p>Just what would you expect from a white, cutie student from The Jane Austen Book Club (or the dysfunctional son from Transamerica) and Spike Lee? Believe it or not, Lee is executive producing a new indie film called The Perfect Age of Rock 'n' Roll, and Variety reports that Kevin Zegers (the cutie student) and Jason Ritter (The Education of Charlie Banks) will star.
